I never read the prequel to this book, The Last Year of Being Single, but I really enjoyed this one. It's not one of those where you have to read the first one to know what's going on. I would definitely give it a 9 or a 10 on a rating scale. It was funny and thoughtful and there were some pretty good sex scenes in there, too. LOL And you can totally relate to Sarah (the character and the one who tells the story) and a lot of the thoughts she has. Also, warning....the dialog is a little different that usual and a little hard to get used to. Other than that, it was awesome and had a good ending, too.
