In what often seems an over-crowded field of American "niche mysteries," this series about a New York coffeehouse called the Village Blend is a standout. Clare Cosi, her ex-husband, and his mother are all appealing and different and the combination of coffee and fashion in Latte Trouble is great.

This was a great book, actually the first Coffehouse mystery I read and now I'm hooked! At a party for a designer unveiling jewelry based on coffee (which was inspired by the coffeehouse the book centers around, The Village Blend) barista Tucker serves a latte that turns out to be poisoned- and kills Tucker's ex-boyfriend's new lover! Clare, owner of the coffe shop, suspects the poison was actually meant for the designer Lottie, and she goes on an investigation to find the culprit and motive. The story also centers around Fashion Week in NYC, so if you enjoy good mysteries with great twists, fashion and ESPECIALLY coffee- check this book out! As all of these books do, the back of the book contains pages of recipes for yummy coffee drinks and desserts that go along with them. A real treat in every sense of the word!

This series is very easy to read because it has a great story line plus trivia history that I enjoy. Starting from the beginning really gets you involved with everyone.

This is the third in the coffeehouse series, and so far, it has been my favorite one so far. It may have to do with the fact that Clare Cosi is closer to my age, I believe she is 40, so she seems more real to me than other characters in cozy mysteries. Her relationship with her ex-husband is another mystery in itself... will they finally get it together, or are they destined to remain just business partners? Guess I will have to keep reading to find out!

Victims become suspects, suspects become victims. In this 3rd outing, Cleo opens up the Village Blend for New York Fashion week. On the evening of Lottie Harmons party Tuckers ex-boyfriend is poisoned by a drink that was intended for Lottie. Cleo takes it upon herself to prove Tuckers innocence only to get in the middle of something that is much bigger then she is. This story stumbles and twists along (with a couple of editing mistakes) until the twisted ending in which you have to be paying attention to get all the complexities. Not to mention whether Matteo is really wanting to change or not. I enjoy this series, the characters are familiar and it's nice to revisit them.

Another awesome book in the coffeehouse series!

Another great book - the third - in the Coffeehouse mysteries. This third book - only deals with one death in the Vilalge Blend. Both Clare and Matteo are involved in the solving of the mystery - along with their own "involvement" !! New characters are introduced - but some of the old favorites are still there - Detective Quinn, Madame DuBois, Tucker the barista...
Murder Most Frothy is the next book of the series and I can't wait to get started...
In addition there are receipes and coffee tips included in this book.

Quite as delightful as sipping a good cup of coffee! The mystery unravels itself slowly and the reader discovers the bits and pieces just as Clare Cosi does - allowing the reader to solve the mystery on his/her own. Fun, quick reading.

I really enjoy this series; plan to keep on reading them as I can.

Nice cozy mystery. The author finally stopped giving coffee info lectures and just gives bits here and there.

The plot of this cozy is good, but there's still a lot about coffee, especially if you're not a die-hard coffee fanatic.

A manager of the historic Village Blend coffeehouse, Clare Cosi is an expert when it comes to steaming foamy cappuccino and press a perfect pot of Jamaica Blue Mountain. But suddenly she finds herself dealing with a mystery that is too hot to handle.
I absolutely love this series. This one wasn't as good as #2, Through the Grinder, but it was still very enjoyable nonetheless. I have really gotten into the characters in this series, and I am very excited for the next book to come out. This book resembled the first one more, in the way that there was more crime, action, and interrogation throughout.
Another excellent book by Cleo Coyle. I couldn't put it down!
I've read all of these books and can't wait for the next one. I don't even drink coffee, but still love this series
Although I love all of the Coffeehouse books and characters, this one stretched it out just a little far for me. A well written book, it just got too far away from the fun facts and involvement around coffee and tried to reach further into another arena. Also, when the muder was finally solved - it was so far out there - almost nothing in the story could have led you to the solution. But somehow it was more of "what?" - then an "Aha!" moment.
This series just keeps getting better and better. This story is fun with lots of twists and turns and some truly laugh out loud moments. The characters have well developed personalities and are utterly believable. As this series has matured, the writer doesn't obsess as much over coffee. I am loving this series and looking forward to reading more.
The 3rd book in one of my favorite series. Love the characters and the ending is always a surprise. i don't know how she does it!
This is the third of the coffee house mysteries. Coffee Buffs and mystery lovers will savor the series. Has coffee-making tips and recipes!
Really enjoyable series with fun characters.
2nd in series, will update review shortly
mystery series with info on coffee
Cleo Coyle writes an entertaining, well developed mystery in Latte Trouble. I have long wanted to read one of her books and this one became the first. It will not be the last. Her style is easy to read and the storyline moves right along. She provides enough detail to set each scene, but doesn't get lost in minutia. It's also easy to see where the next story can take off from the end of this one.
great mystery, easy read, all this and recipes and coffee making tips too!
On of Clare's barista's unwittingly serves a poisoned drink to a customer. The police are quick to suspect Clare's employee, and it is up to Clare to prove his innocence by finding the real culprit.
3rd book in the coffeehouse series. Fun book with lots more coffee info. Clare's favorite barista, Tucker, is accused of poisoning someone at a big event hosted by Village Blend. Ex-husband, Matt, and Detective Mike Quinn are both helpful to Clare as she tries to solve a series of murders. Recommended.
I could not get beyond page 5. I guess just not my type of book.
# 3 in the Coffeehouse series by Cleo Coyle.
This has been one of my favorite series!!!
