This list made me realize that I needed take "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" off my bookshelf. The Pooty Pootwell scene makes me laugh everytime! I've read it aloud for many unsuspecting ears.

The Onion Atlas is a must read. Only read a little at a time though. It is worth savoring.

Patty-Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole is a must-read and one of THE funniest books ever. Written by a kid in high school and found by his mom after his suicide. Won Pulitzer Prize in 1981. Again, thanks for help.
