I found this audio book to be laugh out loud funny. It's a sophisticated look at adultery and the craft of writing.
Laura Rider, married to a man she no longer sleeps with, meets her idol, Jenna Faroli (a radio personality) who lives in their small Wisconsin town. Laura decides she wants to write a romance novel and orchestrates an affair between her husband Charlie, and Jenna so that she will have the basis for a plot for her work.
Charlie is not the brightest crayon in the box but has the face of an angel. Jenna, who also no longer has "sexual congress" with her husband, has the voice of an angel but a face made for radio.
If you enjoy novels with untrustworthy and perhaps antisocial narrators, this is a book you should pick up.
The actual narrator, Alyssa Bresnahan, is one of the best out there. She really makes this book a 5-star audio production.
