My friend planted lavendar in her garden. Now the season is over how does she cut and dry it and use it for her home??

I'm not an expert but maybe she could cut them. Then tie them together in small bouquets and hang them upside down in a cool and dry room. I just remember seeing herbs hanging that way in the movie "Practical Magic"
