It's been a long time since Mr. Connelly wrote about Mickey Haller and I was so excited to read it. I was mesmerized by the story from the first page and read it in one day. It was exciting and thrilling and I couldn't get enough, wanting more after the titillating ending.
Mickey is one of my favorite characters and I implore the author to give him equal time with Mickey's brother Detective Bosch.
5 golden stars for this one.

This book, from my point of view, is Connelly's best ever.
Enjoyed the story a lot. Grips you right from the start, and builds from there. Very satisfying conclusion.
Excellent crime novel, with lots of plausible plot twists and good courtroom scenes. But Connelly got the time line of the pandemic in early 2020 very screwed up. No one was wearing masks or panic buying yet in California when he had them doing so.
Another great book about the Lincoln Lawyer! Fast paced, good story..lots of courtroom drama and had a good ending!
Good Read
Another good one from M.C. Lots of twists along the way.
As usual, this is a nail-biter of a story. The Lincoln Lawyer chooses to represent himself in a murder charge against one of his old clients who owed Mickey Haller a lot of money. What is unique about this story is that Maggie McPherson takes time off to help Haller on the defense side.
My complaint is about Mr. Connelly's politics. I don't care who he supports, but I feel that tying in COVID and the impeachment circus was detrimental to the story. I am not interested in how Mr. Connelly views the political scene. Just stick with the story without political commentary. I don't read anything in his bio that shows Connelly knows more about politics than I do.
