I love books about the evil looking apache indian who is actually tender hearted and the scared southern belle with preconceived notions who fall for him anyway.....fun sexy read.
This book was another excellent story by Nora Roberts. The characters Jake and Sarah had a seesaw romance that keeps you wondering!
It was a good Roberts story.
Since I live in Arizona I love reading about the past and what it was like when it was still the wild and wolly west. Having a sexy halfbreed helps the story along too.
Disappointed - not her best. Could have been better. I love her, so I'll seek out another book...

This story is set back in the old west. Its about a 1/2 Alpache man named Jake Redman and an Eastern ( very proper) lady named Sara Conway. Both are complete oppsotes who have to surivew in the West with each other. Cute book

Sarah comes from the East to wild and rugged Arizona to stay with her father to furnish a home for them. When arriving, she learns that he's died, the home turns out to be a mud hut, and her only protector is Jake, an Apache half-breed that's the fastest gun around. Several interesting characters and some twists to this amusing love story. An enjoyable and quick read.
I've never read a book like this by Nora Roberts. If she has written another one, I'd read it as well. Jake Redman was a loner who lived a rought, but Miss Sarah worked her way right into his heart. Wonderful book.

A wonderful western historical romance. Straightforward likeable characters, decent plot, as expected, good ending. Fun quick read.
I always did like a good western/Native American romance and this one did not disappoint.

I have read a number of Nora Roberts books including the ones she writes under J.D. Robb. Ms. Roberts always has a knack of bringin her characters to life. I wasnt disappointed here.

Another good Roberts, reissue of earlier historical.
Sarah arrived in Lone Bluff expecting to meet her rich father. Instead she found herself alone with only a half -Apache , Jake Redman, to protect her.
I completely loved this book and I reccomend it to anyone.
