I simply didn't enjoy this book. Not sure what I expected when I started it but it just never got my attention. I felt like it was a Rudy Giuliani self-love fest from page one.
Other reviews suggest he describes his principles of leadership and how he put them into action to help the city recover from the 9/11 terrorist attack. No doubt he led the city well but a writer and stroyteller he is not.

Having inherited a city ravaged by crime & cripples in its ability to serve tis citizens, he shows how he found that every aspect of his career pup to that point shaped his thinking about leadership & prepared him for the daunting challenges ahead.

An outstanding book. Guliani shows how he applied his leadership philosophy to NYC both before and after 9/11. The book not only imparts guidance on leadership, but is valuable look at the man running for president, both his philosphy and the results to NYC of him following his philosphy.

My husband recommended I read this after he did and he is not an avid reader. I enjoyed the "realness" of it and how it gave an honest look at Rudy. Also includes some good practical advice for your own life.
No mention of his appearances in drag or being nuzzled by Trump. In fact, no mention of Trump at all, as far as I can tell. Maybe that's why he isn't Secretary of State.
