Always laugh out loud fun with a Stephanie Plum adventure. I never know what trouble she's going to get in and which of her "men" will be there to bail her and Lula out. The characters are outstanding...loved the taxidermist and Uncle Elmer in this one - Hilarious...now I'm just upset because I have to wait a whole year for another one!

Dude, even her underwear has a RangeMan logo on it. Funny as always. Lots of Ranger, Morelli, Grandma, car destruction and funerals with exploding dead animals thrown in. And Tank and Lula are getting a little more serious. What more could you ask for except for the next book to be released next week.

OMG This had me laughing so hard, I had to bury my face in the pillow so as to not wake up my husband! I wish Janet Evanovich could write these as fast as I read them.

More of the same from Plum but the same works so dern well that I think I would keep reading until Evanovich stops. The exploding squirrel, Grandma and the ever present and hilarious Lula makes this a great summer read. I got through it quickly without missing a thing which is a big deal for this slow reader. If you've read the previous Plum novels don't stop with this one.

More adventures of Stephanie Plum. Many laughs and surprises along the way. The taxidermist subplot is hilarious in a twisted, sick way.
Helpful Score: 4
Hysterical as usual. And I just have one thing to say about the cable company...."those f'ers"

Typical Stephanie...what do you expect? If she were and brighter or reserved we would not like it. Great read! Love them all!

When I first began the book, it was pretty formulaic. But then, things started popping--Evanovich did it again! Just love this series. Marian

Excellent! It was worth the wait. Stephanie, Morelli and Ranger are better than ever!

Again another great book by Janet Evanovich in the hilarious Stephanie Plum series. Lula and Grandma Mazur are up to their same antics and I found myself laughing hysterically out loud quite a few times. I just LOVE this series by Janet and always look forward to all the new books as they come out. I liked this book because the main person Stephanie was involved with looking for continued through the entire book, of course she had other's to look for as well. Awesome book!

I did not feel this was her best work. The ending was disappointing. It was anti-climactic.

Stephanie Plum finds herself in a bad situation when her ex-husband Dickie disappears leaving a trail of blood and huge financial questions. Stephanie may be implicated in a possible murder, bringing Ranger and Morelli into action as they join forces to protect her and discover the truth behind the disappearance of Dickie. Stephanie as always go off on her own investigation, bringing the usual onslaught of trouble and vehicular destruction.

Janet Evanovich has done it again. Another Stephanie Plum novel filled humor, suspense and romance. This time around Stephanie's ex is missing and she's the prime suspect. In the meantime, her bounty hunter job has her contending with a grave robber and taxidermist who specialized in exploding beavers. Even though the books are still filled with hilarity, it does seem that Stephanie is getting better at her job and even though the love triangle is still there, I really like the way Morelli and Ranger seemed to have formed an alliance of sorts.

One of the best series out there, this very hard to put down. Excellent as always.
After waiting my turn to get this from my local library, I read it in one sitting. When I turned the last page, I looked at my dog and said, "meh?"
While I didn't love it or hate it, the spark that gave the other Stephanie Plum books that special something just wasn't there. It seems much more serious than any of the previous entries in this ongoing series.
Maybe it's time for Steph to hangup her cuffs, choose Ranger OR Morelli and retire.

If you liked her first 12 books in the series, you'll like this one. Not the best of them, but definitely worth reading.
This was a fun, quick read.
Very funny! One of my favorite series of all. Keeps me laughing all the way through.
What can I say? Stephanie Plum is up to her usual tricks. Perfect Summer read.

More laugh-out-loud hijinx from Stephanie Plum, in which she and Lulu manage to destroy not one, not two, but three cars while careening through New Jersey in search of various bad guys.
Grade: B+
Lean Mean Thirteen is the thirteenth book in Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Stephanie Plum is a Bounty Hunter. This time she and the gang are involved with a missing person case. It just so happens, that Stephanie's ex-husband Dickie Orr has gone missing and it looks like foul play is involved. The Jersey police suspect Stephanie might have something to do with it since she was the last person seen with him and she beat him up and threatened his life. Both Ranger and Joe are helping to protect Stephanie as the real bad guys start targeting her.
Mostly this review is going to focus on the fact that I listened to this book, rather than read it. I have to say that I absolutely adored the narrator (at this moment her name has slipped my mind). I just loved her interpretation of Lula and Grandma Mazur, favorite characters of mine in the series. When she would talk as Lula it sounded just like I pictured she would sound. The attitude and comedic timing of the lines was awesome. Of course, let's not forget the star of the show Stephanie. I also liked the way she did Stephanie's voice too. It was really fun to listen to.
I felt like Janet Evanovich got back into the groove with Lean Mean Thirteen. The last two books felt more serious and less comedic than her earlier books and I thought with this one she went back to her old writing style. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think I will be looking forward to listening to the rest of this series as audio books instead of reading them. If you are looking for a book to listen to on audio, look no further. This one was fun!

By book 13 (plus between the number books) you have to love this series or you wouldn't continue on...this one doesn't disappoint, with a cute hate for the cable company and their antics! Always a great read.
Stephanie Plum is up to her usual antics. I laughed quite a bit--maybe not as much as some of the older books, but I still got a few good giggles. Quick, easy, fun read.

Great Book !
I'VE READ ALL THE STEPHNIE PLUM BOOKS AND THEY ARE WONDERFUL, LIGHT, AND LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY READING. JANET EVANOVICH CAN'T WRITE THEM FAST ENOUGHT FOR ME.
I know others love these books, but I just couldn't get into them.
This is a hilarious series of funny storied books. I read one book and then had to find them all.
Unfortunately Janet doesn't know how to turn on the heat for the romantic side of her stories... and how come Stephanie is never compensated for her losses, and is always just an out of luck victim?? Her new brother in law could be suing these guys for her.

This is a great series that just keeps getting better and better! This was a great book with many laugh-out-loud moments.
All of Janet's books are excellent. It's great to follow the anventures of Stephanie, LuLu and Grandma in their bumbling adventures. I would recommend all the Plum books to anyone that needs a light, laugh out loud read every once in a while.
This book was one of the funniest i've read so far. I can't wait to finish the series.
Hot guys, adventures, & laughs. I love this books series.

This is Evanovich's best one in her number series so far. There are parts that are just laught out loud funny. Even if you haven't read any of her other books in this series (and you definately should) this is a MUST read!
Another great romp-- and the Joe-Ranger decisions are even more tantalizing
It never ceases to amaze me how Janet Evanovich can keep our interest in this series for this long. She does such a great job and knows just when to leave us hanging and when to sate our appetites. Fun, fun read.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm sure i've said this before, but this series just gets funnier and funnier with each book! i read this book so fast that i did't even have time to put it on currently reading list, it just went straight to my read list. i laughed the whole way through the book.
but, i made a big no-no reading this book. i read the first, second, and third, and then skipped to this book because some one wanted to read it. so i'm a bit lost. when did stephanie and morelli finally hook up? when did stephanie find out where ranger lives? WHEN DID STEPHANIE AND RANGER HOOK UP? that suprised me the most. and when did lula and tank hook up? i guess i'm gonna have to finish the rest of the series now.

Another great book in the Number series
Great 13th book in the Stephanic Plum series. I read this one on vacation and laughed through the whole thing. You never cease laughing especially as Stephanie trys to find her ex-husband while Joyce, her arch enemy, tries to find him also.
Great summer read If you like lots of action, laughs and a little sex thrown in!
Great series, very entertaining!
I had to admit -- the exploding taxidermies were pretty ingenious. But it is time to choose between Ranger and Morelli.
Typical Evanovich book. Very suspenseful and hilarious. A good read.
Loved the book!
Step;hanie Plum is always entertaining and getting into trouble.
As much as I looked forward to this book, it was quite a letdown. The characters fizzled out, lost my interest, and the plot was just boring. Number 12 was the best yet, and I looked forward to 13. I kept reading farther into this, hoping the love interests would still sizzle but it just went "Blahh". Of course, if you're a fan of Stephanie Plum, you'll probably read this anyways. Just don't expect hot sensual scenes with either of the men, nor any super interesting FTA's.
What can I say Stephanie and the gang are as funny as ever.
Love this series

great book. funny as hell. love all the characters.
I love these Stephanie Plumb books. Always a good read and funny too.
MISTAKE #1 Dickie Orr. Stephanie was married to him for about fifteen minutes before she caught him cheating on her with her arch-nemesis Joyce Barnhardt. Another fifteen minutes after that Stephanie filed for divorce, hoping to never see either one of them again. MISTAKE #2 Doing favors for super bounty hunter Carlos Manoso (a.k.a. Ranger). Ranger needs her to meet with Dickie and find out if he's doing something shady. Turns out, he is. Turns out, he's also back to doing Joyce Barnhardt. And it turns out Ranger's favors always come with a price...
MISTAKE #3
Going completely nutso while doing the favor for Ranger, and trying to apply bodily injury to Dickie in front of the entire office. Now Dickie has disappeared and Stephanie is the natural suspect in his disappearance. Is Dickie dead? Can he be found? And can Stephanie Plum stay one step ahead in this new, dangerous game? Joe Morelli, the hottest cop in Trenton, NJ is also keeping Stephanie on her toes-and he may know more than he's saying about many things in Stephanie's life. It's a cat-and-mouse game for Stephanie Plum, where the ultimate prize might be her life.

Solid story in the series.
Wonderful, just like all the others.
another good Stephanie Plum
This has been to me one of stephanie's funniest reads. I totally enjoyed it and found myself laughing but was glad I was not in a public place like a doctors waiting room or some other place at the time as I like to have a book with me wherever I go.
Another great story about Stephanie Plum! This one had some nice changes in it. Stephanie is a magnet for trouble and the result is great humor, suspence and romance.

So fun to listen to or read. This is a fun series, every case is an adventure for Stephanie. You never know what is going to blow up, burn down, or get eaten by her or Lula. Fun series.
Holy Moly! Guest star Dickie Orr. Joyce shows up with Rita. As usual someone wants Stephanie dead, but we don't find out the why for awhile. Morelli and Ranger take turs keeping an eye on Stephanie. She's working on trying to catch her men, or FTA's. She gets mixed up in Dickie current life doing a favor for Ranger, but then gets a bullseye on her back trying to not get a murder rap because Dickie has gone missing!
As awesome as all the others!
