This is a well written autobiography by a noted author of herself as a cancer patient who survives. the author Carolyn Sutton is a Christian breast cancer survivor. She has a huge lump and a huge lumpectomy. She has to deal with the loss of her breast, Hair and every day life. She does not just write about the cancer but how it impacts her every day life. Her elderly mother is an assisted living unit, is dying rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Her mother lives but must go to a nursing home for care. Carolyn is going through chemotherapy and can not be with her mother as Carolyn has been in the past and she feels bad. I would estimate her to be about 60 years old.She has only been married to her present husband for 6 years. He is very loving and kind. Carolyn is a writer and book editor and she has deadlines to meet with her job which she needs. How do you deal with al big partial loss of a breast, losing her hair , feeling sick, take care of her mom, husband and your family when you are so sick and your professional writing career when she may die.She decides to live day by day and turn it over to God because no way can she do what she did before. Her Motto is " When nothing is left, you still have God".
