Lenobia Whitehall is sixteen years old and living in France with her half-sister Celia and her mother. Knowing that he can reveal her true identity before they make port, Lenobia hides in her cabin, only going out in the early morning, to the stables. There, she meets Martin Rillieux and quickly falls in love. However, the bishop has other ideas and Lenobia will have to use everything she possesses if she hopes to have a promising future.

Lenobia is Zoey Redbirds favorite teacher and in LENOBIAS VOW, we get a deeper glimpse into her past, giving more clarification on her present character. A short read, but compelling and suspenseful. This novella tells the background story of one of Zoey's favorite professors: Lenobia. Although the synopsis makes it seem we will find out more about her and her relationship with her sister Cecile, she makes little difference at all... We find out what makes Lenobia rebuff that yummy cowboy in this story. I really felt for her...
