It's not a bad book, but it does involve adultery with children involved, which bugged me a lot.

A Fun and quick read.

Hated it. If I'd realized that the main thrust of this book was an adulterous affair, I wouldn't have bothered. I can put up with a lot in my chick-lit, but this one just turned my stomach. I didn't finish it; but I did read the last chapter to see how it ended.

I think this is the book that put an end to my chic-lit reading once and for all. It was quite stupid...and treated a serious topic (an extramarital affair) in a very frivolous manner.

This book really had me guessing until the end about how it would end. Carole Matthews is probably my favorite writer and even though this wasn't my favorite book of hers, it is still great. It is a lot more serious than she normally writes, but it is still a must read for chick-lit lovers!

usually enjoy this author, but the story wasn't quite what I expected.

I really couldn't get into a book where the main character is having an affair - this didn't set well with me at all.

Teri Carter is irritated when a man rushing to make his train knocks her down, but her annoyance turns to interest when Jamie Duncan insists on caring for her and seeing her home. Teri is smitten and Jamie certainly seems to return her affection, so why does he act so aloof and mysterious all of the time? Teri is heartbroken when she learns that Jamie is married, and Jamie is torn between his quickly cooling marriage to Pamela and the attraction he feels for Teri. There aren't any simple solutions here, and Matthews explores the common theme of marital unfaithfulness from every angle: the sympathetic Teri and Jamie; Jamie's wife, Pamela, struggling to hang on to her husband and raise their children; Teri's friend Clare, whose own husband was unfaithful; Jamie's happy-go-lucky friend, Charlie, who is much wiser than he seems.
