Journalist Sam Adams comes to New Orleans for Mardi Gras at the request of her old friend Kitty. Great New Orleans atmosphere, of course a murder, and a sexy insurance investigator to boot.

Third in a series which started with Sam in Atlanta, but after this adventure (and the insurance investigator), she's a New Orleans girl for life. (See "First Kill all the Lawyer" and "Then Hang all the Liars" published under pen name Alice Storey, and several more after this, published as Sarah Shankman.)
