I did not enjoy this book nearly as I had hoped. The author starts with a good determination to practice the presence of God more, but the more I read his letters, the more I find that the good goal morphs into a self-determined, unrealistic pursuit, lacking its root in any content connecting him to Christ. There is no use of scripture at all in his reflections, and overall I sensed it lacked the *content* of who God is as a base. The desire for a mystical "experience" of God, in my view, eclipses God himself. A disappointing read. I'd recommend Brother Lawrence instead.
