I have no idea if any of you live around or in Washington DC but this looks like an interesting series. The Library of Congress lunch series are usually free too! You don't have to sign up or pay IIRC.
Library of Congress What If... Lecture Series
The Museum of Science Fiction is pairing with the Library of Congress to support and promote the LoC lecture series What If.... Each lecture begins at noon in the Pickford Theater, or one of the other great meeting rooms in the Library of Congress Madison Building, and covers a wide range of topics in the science fiction and fantasy realms. Below you'll find the schedule detailing what the year has in store. So grab a few packages of rehydratable space food and a pitcher of water and contemplate What If... over lunch with the Library of Congress.
