As a writer, Cara Summers is capable of so much more, and the rest of the series -- "The P.I.," "The Cop," and "The Defender" -- is a testament to that. I was expecting this to be of the same quality as those three books, and it doesn't even come close. It's difficult to get past the shifting point of view (some segments were written from the heroine's perspective, while others used the usual third-person voice).
If you're thinking about getting this book, don't -- and make a beeline for "The P.I.," "The Cop," and "The Defender" instead. They're light years better than this.

Not impressed with this book. The start was okay, with the hero recovering from an accident and the heroine deciding she had to speak up regarding her affection for him. From that point, the book goes downhill. The characters do not listen to each other, no explainable justification for their feelings or actions. She writes him off and decides to have an affair on a Greek Island as a vacation fling but gets immediately sidetracked with a gothic murder mystery. The book descends into an unlikely scenarios that take up the rest of the book and is filled with talking cats. Giving this a 1-star rating.

The "younger" sister of the Angelis brothers gets her own love story. Hot, sexy, suspensful and it will make you want to book a trip to the Greek Isles!

This book was a quick and fun read. I really liked that the heroine had the ability to communicate with animals. It was fun to get the cats' point of view!
