Nice to hear his words from his mouth. He does come across a bit arrogant at times. Unfortunately the entire thing is more of a bag of facts than a book from the heart. He seems so guarded in his writing I don't think we will ever really know how he felt or what was going through his mind at key points in his life. His description of his early life is much better than his whirlwind travels through his presidency. Lots of bitterness comes out. Well worth the listen.
I wasn't a "Clinton fan" before I listened to him read his autobiography. However, having lived through his presidency and taken an interest in the way he handled his personal life through multiple indiscretions, I can say that hearing him read his own life story has given me empathy and respect for this U.S. President who gave many years of his life for our country. There is something very moving about hearing a President tell his own story. I loved listening to this...and so did my husband. I recommend it highly!
This was wonderful.
