Reading this book was the first time I've heard of the term meta consciousness. It's also the first time I've heard the term bardo, which describes the periods in between reincarnations that you review the previous life and plan the next one. It reminds me a little bit of what I've read in Sylvia Browne books. It's an interesting concept and can be comforting to think when you are having a hard time on earth that you planned it yourself as a learning lesson. It's comforting in the same way people believe God is testing you. It is a way of making sense of what's happening and to feel that you're not suffering needlessly. The hard part is figuring out what the lesson is supposed to be.
