The book opened my eyes but seemed a little cynical.

Gave me a lot of good insight about the way other people can think and take advantage. You've got to be on your toes because there could be people that are close to you that might want what you have, and they will surely try and take it. This book teaches you to look out for those people and shows you how to defend yourself. The world is different than how it was 30-40 years ago, and in order to get ahead, you need to be aware.
