I enjoyed the author's candidness and sincerity. I feel like I can understand Madonna a little better, am perhaps less judgmental of her person, although I'm glad I don't have to deal with her choices myself. I don't buy Ciccone's feelings about Kabbalah, but at least he doesn't write about the cult until he encounters it chronologically in the narrative.
