Working in the medical field, I am drawn to good, accurate medical fiction. Dr. Gerritsen doesn't let her reader's down. My very favorite of hers was Harvest so if you end up enjoying this one, check it out!

I am reading Tess Gerritsen's thrillers that are pre- Rizzoli and Isles mysteries. I thought Robin Cook's medical thrillers were captivating, but the story held my attention that it was hard to put down the book. If the reader wants a change of pace from reading cozy mysteries, which I dearly love reading, hop over to the earlier Gerritsen books for some good solid thrillers

Tess Gerritsen joined the front ranks of thriller writers with her New York Times bestseller, HARVEST. Now she weaves utter medical authenticity into another novel of gripping suspense, as a dedicated woman doctor probes too deeply into the cause of a lethal, mystifying outbreak. "signed by the author??"
