As an adult child, I considered this to be one of the most helpful books I have ever read on the subject. It is a quick read and has a lot of good information.
The author is considered one of the best on the subject and I have read other books by her that are equally well presented. The information is easy to understand, even if you are a newcomer to the term "adult child". I found the scenarios in the book to be right on the mark, and many times I found myself shaking my head in wonder.
I always thought that the problems from my childhood were different from other people's issues. It is nice to find that I am just as normal as the next guy in some respects, and that the problems that I have can be corrected with a little hard work and perseverance. I will definitely be keeping my copy because it is all marked up and highlighted and I still carry it with me to help me remember to use the suggestions in the book.
