This was so good!! Interesting characters and a good mystery combine for an excellent summertime read. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed reading this book and it kept me guessing all the way to the end. I liked how there were characters linked to the first book and included in this story. If you like lighthouses and love then this is the book for you.

Katie Russell always knew her 'parents' were not her birth parents. She was raised in a prominent family in northern California around the turn of the century. Always doing the proper thing for her family, she is expected to wed a young businessman from an equally prominent family. She bucks tradition and takes a job outside the home as a telephone operator and by chance overhears an alarming conversation. This leads to a host of secrets, threats and robberies that will lead her in an entirely different direction in life.
