Shorter and less complex than most of Turow but an interesting character study and well-written as always
An appellate court judge begins receiving death threats while simultaneously juggling a case which hits close to a long-held secret and trying to deal with his wife's serious illness. Turow also tap-dances around the concept of justice versus the law, but the whole thing never develops any punch.
