I felt Paddy was a bit too well-spoken for a five year old and I saw some of the plot "twists" before they were revealed. However, I was pleased that the characters were new, not clones of previous characters in the series (not that I would expect such from the talented Barclay). The plot is engaging and none of the scenarios felt forced. An enjoyable read (especially if you like medieval romances); I give it 4 1/2 stars. :3
