Not a typical Martini book in that it doesn't revolve around the coutroom. A woman, ex-lawyer, turned novelist concocts a scheme to make it to the best seller list by posing as a man...not herself, but she has to find a man willing to pretend he wrote the book.... It sounds complicated, and it does cause some problems, but it makes for one terrific read.

Great Book!
Martini's books are always detailed with lots of action. This one meets that criteria and has a surprise twist at the end as well.
A fascinating look into the publishing world as well as interesting
characters.... and of course Martini's usual thrilling, captivating
mystery storyline. Exceptional read.

Excellent book!
The first Steve Martini book I ever read, and it hooked me. You never ever guess who it is, he is always leading you down blind alleys.
very interesting mystrie... fast paced..
The seductive world of entertainment is the theme. A lawyer-turned novelist has concocted a scheme and nothing will stop her rise to the top which comes with a deadly price.
Abby the lawyer is destine to become Abby the published author. She spills two years of her life into a novel that changes life as she knows it. Who makes the NY Times best seller list, under 4, on there first go around? No one that's who...except Abby. However, she doesn't want to be in the lime light so she "hires" a man to play the role of the auther of her sucessful book and the world turns on it's axis. This book was a little long, but stick it out, the ending is sure worth it!!!
Great! Watch out for the list! You will want to read this in one sitting!
