Louis Kincaid and his old friend Mel Landeta arrive in Palm Beach to help an old friend of Mel's, Reggie out of a murder charge. They find Reggie is an escourt to rich female members of the Palm Beach upper crust who has been trying to mentor a younger man into the business. Reggies "friend" is found naked and headless in an old deserted cattle pen. As the story proceeds they find themself butting heads with the local law department as well as finding more headless bodies. I found the story to be rather slow and not up to previous Kincaid stories.
Murder in the glamorous Palm Beach, young men being beheaded is a cause to stir unrest in this highly posh town, only to learn some of the leading citizens are responsible for sex reasons.
