A quick easy read--Carson Ryder finds himself involved in 3 different on-going cases but always on the bad side of the acting chief which eventually gets him suspended but he's already enlisted the help of an ex-detective while his other partner is recuperating from another case(but becomes connected to the cases Ryder is working on), it brings closure on all the cases and you'll cheer when one set of 'bad guys' are brought down because of the protect and serve they didn't do
