This is a fun book especially if you have been reading the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. There are nice excerpts from the books and recipes that are as close as possible to what they would have eaten. It's an interesting lesson to see what they ate and if we feel about the food the same way. In some cases, I thought they must have been a lot hungrier than we are, if they likes the food!

Can't wait to try some of these recipes. Amazing what they could make without the modern amenities.

This is a beautiful cookbook copy. I love everything about cookbooks and my collection wouldn't be complete without, " The Little House Cookbook ". I have all The Little House books and love them to this day. This was in a time gone by and makes me very humble when I read all the accounts of the Pioneer Life. The recipes in the cookbook are simple but very good and I like to get a cup of coffee and read it like a book. It takes to back to a slower time , but really it was a lot of work for pioneer people.
