My son could not put this down. I am so impressed, he has a reading disabiltiy and this book had so much to interest him. He said I am learning about the narrow way.
This book is wonderful! My children have enjoyed this book immensely. We've read it twice now and I suspect it will be at least a yearly re-read for the family. The main story of "Pilgrim's Progress" is still intact but I love the fact that she makes the characters children. It really engages children and makes them be able to relate to the characters. The language is easy to understand and hasn't been modernized like some other re translations of the book for children. They don't talk like most children today which is refreshing and will make the book timeless. I think every Christian with young children needs this in their library. It is also great for those who can't handle the Old English of the original.
My daughter read HER copy of this book (not the copy I am offering) until it fell apart! Wonderful allegorical tale about the Christian life.
From the back cover:
To most children the record of Christian's pilgrimage is attractive simply as a story of adventure. But now Helen L. Taylor has simplified the vocabulary and concepts for young readers, while keeping the story line intact. The result is a classic for yough, a delightful book with a message they can understand"
