This book only discusses the effects of refined carbohydrates and caffeine. It doesn't cover other factors that can affect children's behavior, such as lack of trace minerals and healthy fats, certain food additives, etc. Still, it could be very helpful and effective, especially for families who are looking for a "quick fix" rather than a complete diet and lifestyle change.

DesMaisons takes a perfectly reasonable and well-documented argument--refined carbohydrates are bad for health, both mental and physical--and takes it to a dangerous conclusion--feed your kids lots of animal protein.

If you ignore the dietary recommendations, this book has many helpful suggestions on weaning your kids off of processed sugar and refined grains and encouraging them to adopt healthy eating habits.
