This Minnesota author published this novel published in 2012. It is his second book. The first, The Night Birds, won several awards. In Wolves, the son of the primary character, Seth, kills a friend of the father, Grizz, and then himself. Grizz carries a heavy load of guilt thinking that he has failed his son. However, Seth's girlfriend helps Grizz discover why his gentle son may have acted so out of character. It's not the normal mystery/thriller as everyone knew in the beginning who committed the murder. This one dwells more on the aftermath and there is more to the story than anyone knows. You must read this well written novel to discover the truth for yourself.
