Lizzie felt imprisoned by her stepmother's avarice, her sister's emotional blackmail, her father's suffocating love.
But Lizzie was stubborn. if she could not find happiness within the bounds of family and class, she would search elsewhere.
Lizzie's search ended in frustration and disaster.
And one hot August day in 1892, something terrible happened in that cramped house the Bordens called home.

The book is a fictional account, it does not examine and try to solve the murders.
I personally didn't like this book.

I always wondered what the real story of Lizzie Borden, the ax murderer, was. Written without a lot of gore or gross out stuff.
Based on actual events (I think).
