Some books are instant classics, and this is one of them. Not very many children's books can be written about a poor harassed mother taking her grumpy little one grocery shopping (and how many of us have been there?!!!) and turn it into a sweet and touching story. As a parent, I see it as a reminder of how the bad days can have a happy ending, and it helps my children get through the days when they ARE the grumpy little llama.
I love this book as does my 3 year old. The rhymes and cadence of the story always has her laughing, this is a wonderful book with amazing pictures that is sure to delight both you and your child.
My 3- and 5-year-old LOVE this book. They can recite pretty much the entire thing by heart & still ask for it & read it in the car.
