Another page turner. This is the 2nd book I have read by this author. I really like her writing style. Some creepy moments and some surprises along the way. I did like DO NOT DISTURB better but I think that was because I loved the protagonist in that one. This was still quite good as thrillers go. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Some doors are locked for a reason. While eleven-year-old Nora Davis was up in her bedroom doing homework, she had no idea her father was killing women in the basement. Until the day the police arrived at their front door. Decades later, Nora's father is spending his life behind bars, and Nora is a successful surgeon with a quiet, solitary existence. Nobody knows her father was a notorious serial killer. And she intends to keep it that way. Then Nora discovers one of her young female patients has been murdered. In the same unique and horrific manner that her father used to kill his victims. Somebody knows who Nora is. Somebody wants her to take the fall for this unthinkable crime. But she's not a killer like her father. The police can't pin anything on her. As long as they don't look in her basement. This is another great book by Freida McFadden. I found all the characters to be well-drawn. The plot was one that kept me reading until the very surprised ending. The killer wasn't in my sights at all. I love the short chapters in the book. I am now looking forward to reading another book by Freida McFadden. Love her books! If you like psychological thriller books then you will love this book.
This one started off a bit slow for me and the big twist at the end seemed a bit of a stretch, but it was still an enjoyable, quick read. Once it took off it was creepy and suspenseful.
A quick yet satisfying read. It will keep you guessing all the way to the end, and then some.
