The Lodger is one of those books that keeps you turning pages because you know what you know and wonder when the characters in the book will find out!!! Well written, exciting, hinting at violence but never revealing too much, sending shivers up the reader's spine more than once. Thoroughly enjoyable but be prepared to give up doing anything productive until you finish the final page. One small annoying detail; this particular version was a disaster in proof-reading. There were typos, grammatical errors and sloppy editing on every other page, very distracting at first, but almost comical as you get used to it. Thankfully, it does not detract from the story.
