Lonely Planet third edition is a very concise travel guide to Poland. The book explores the history, culture and regional areas of Poland in an easy to understand format. The book can be used by the seasoned travelor as well as the inexpierienced tourist who needs a good reference source while traveling. I found the book helpful in planning how our trip would be routed and how much time should be allowed for different cities and regions.

I was very impressed with the regional reviews and points of interest in Lonely planet and found the reccomendations to be very useful and well researched. I came away with a good general understanding of the historical and cultural variations throughout Poland.

My only complaint with this travel guide is probably quite common in that some of the information seemed dated. This issue is understandable as the situation in Poland is changing rapidly and keeping up with all the changes is almost impossible. I would love to see these guides set up websites that addressed this issue and posted updates to information contained in the books.
