In the 87th precinct, a serial killer is preying on the blind. The first victim was Vietnam veteran Jimmy Harris, whose dreams may hold the clue to his murder. Investigating detective Steve Carella is already grappling with problems at home. The addition of this complex case to his docket is not going to make life any easier.
In the late 70s McBain's 87th books started to get longer and more involved. You can see this in Long Time No See. The previous two books were less than 200 pages long in the paperback. This is a really good story based around Carella and his search for a person who murders blind people. Like any good McBain book you don't want to stop reading this one till it's finished.
First time I had read Ed McBain, liked his writing.
