Rnjoyable read, but I did not feel this was the author's best work.
This is the first I've read by this author and I really liked most of it. The whole beginning and middle were great-so engaging and sweet and I fell in love with the characters and the house, I loved the english and scottish words and acents and I was utterly devastated when Daphne died before Leo, but the end....ugh the end! When Jonas started explaining how everything happened and why everything happened and reasons for revenge; it literally turned into a scooby doo ending right before my eyes. Cheesy and over explained and leaving the reader to feel like they couldn't possibly make heads or tails of any of it, unless taken by the hand. I was a little disappointed. Especially because it started off so, so well.
I did not dislike this book, but I do not care as much for his work as I do for that of his mother. He does not develop characters as realistically as does she and his plots tend to be superficial.
