This book is a great companion to the TV show that documents Ewan & Charley's trip across the world. It really opens your eyes to how real these people are. You don't have to be a fan of motorbiking in orer to enjoy it.

Two cry-baby rich guys on brand new factory equipped BMWs with plenty of money, a support crew, and political-celebrity influence whine and cry their way around the world. A pretend adventure not in the same league, class. or universe as Ted Simon's "Jupiter's Travels".

I enjoyed this book very much. Actors Ewan McGregor (Star Wars) and Charley Boorman (Excalibur) decided to bike across the world. Starting in London and ending up in New York, it tells how difficult it is to get through some countries due to bureaucracy (Slovkia, Ukraine, Russia). I read this during my month-long tour of Europe and the Baltic States. There's also a companion film.
