Absolutely amazing. I read it in 48 hours (after the kids went to bed each night). It's fast paced, gut wrenching and well written.

I have read all of Lisa Scottoline's books and I thought this was her best one yet even though the story itself was a departure from her usual line of work. The Ellen and Will characters were so believeable that I ached when her heart was breaking. I highly recommend this book.

A very good book. Takes you on a roller coaster ride. The book was a hard one to put down and was one I read in a few days. The ending was not as I expected either...that's always a plus. I love it when a book has you in it's grips and surprises you in the end! Definitely recommend!

Wow! I read this book in less than 24 hours, it was hard to put down. The suspense was great, the story well-written, the characters well-developed. All in all a great book!

A departure from Ms. Scottoline's normal courtroom drama and female attorneys, it is a wonderful book. I liked the central character, Ellen Gleeson, who is a "features" reporter at a major newspaper in Philadelphia. She is single with an adopted child, Will, who is the center of her life. When going through her mail one day, she sees "have your seen this child" card with a photo of a boy that looks exactly like her boy. Although her adoption is legal and done through an attorney, there is nothing much about the birth mother or father and, in fact, it is sealed. However, Ellen can't let it go and starts her own investigation hoping that her boy is not the boy kidnapped 2 years ago. The investigation takes her to poor neighborhoods in Philly and posh ones in Miami, Florida. Events too coincidental fill her with fear for her life and that of Will's. Powerfully paced book and in-depth character description makes this departure from her usual novels well worth the reading! After about half-way through the book, I couldn't put it down.

This was a book that I had a difficult time putting down. I read it in three days. The story line is compelling and even the ending is a huge surprise. Well written, pager turner!

Loved this book! It'd been awhile when a book held my interest all the way through. I also loved the short chapters similar to J. Patterson's style. Although part of the ending was predictable, it didn't detract from the book and kept me reading to find out what next.

would you look again? If you thought your adopted child was possibly not knowingly given up for adoption by his mom, would you want to know the truth, even if you could lose your child? add a mystery and it is a story that you won't want to put down.

I thought the book was well written. It had great character development and I could connect with the emotions that the author was trying to capture. It was not predictable and kept me interested right until the end.

This is an excellent book that holds your attention. I read it in about two days and was sad to have it end. It's one of those you wish would be made into a movie. Very well written, suspenseful, thoughtful book of a mother who has adopted a son and who comes across a card with the photo of a missing child that looks just like her son. The book takes you on a journey with a very exciting and satisfying conclusion.

This is the first book I've read by this author and it took me a while to get the flow of the very short chapters, but I ended up really liking the book. It's about a woman who gets a missing child postcard in the mail and is surprised to see that the child looks surprisingly like her adopted son of the same age. Interesting characters, a good moral dilemma, and it didn't fall apart in the end, in my opinion. I'll try more of her books and would recommend this one to others.

What would you do if, finding a "Have you Seen This Child?" flyer in your mailbox, you realize that the picture of the child is that of your 3-year old adoptive son?
Everything inside her tells her to deny the similarity between news reporter Ellen Gleeson's adoptive son and the child in the photo. But as a journalist, she won't be able to rest until she uncovers the truth.
This story questions the very essence of parenthood and raises a moral quandry that will haunt you. And even after finishing it, you will find yourself asking, "What would I do?"

With all the attention this book has been getting, I expected something a lot better.
I found the writing to be dull. Something about the plot was not developed well in the beginning because it gave me a slight depressed feeling to read it. (I have no life experiences close to the story-line that would contribute to this feeling. I am, however, a mom with two young children).
The story was good. But it could have been great if it had been written in a different style I think.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was very different and had a shocking ending. Although I enjoyed the story I did find some of the writing a bit choppy. All in all a good read.
This was the first book by this author I've read. . I loved the short
chapters and kept saying to myself ' Just one more. . ' I couldn't put it down and went on the emotional rollarcoaster with Ellen on the mystery that surrounded her son. Did not expect the twists and turns the story took and held my breath until the end. Will definately read more of her books. Wow :-)

I haven't been able to put this book down, it really keeps you going. Good writing! I felt her pain and anxiety as she went through trying to find out if her child was really the kidnapped child. This book takes you through many experiences and emotions. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes mystery and romance.
I could not put this book down. I read it in one day to see what the outcome was. Excellent reading.
haven't gotten a bad Scottoline book yet.

This book was amazing! I didn't want to put it down. I can't imagine getting a postcard with a missing child on it and seeing my own child's picture. Brilliantly written!
Great book easy read. The author does a great job of showing emotion.
This book held my attention from page one.
Heartwrenching, Shocking and amazing

Absolutely AMAZING!!!. I could not put this book down!!. It's fast paced, gut wrenching and well written. This was my first Lisa Scottoline book and I was very impressed!!
I had trouble putting this book down! Somewhat predictable with some fun twists!
This was an awesome book! Couldn't put it down...
Amazing book! One of the best books I've read in a while!!
Gripping mystery and suspense. Afast read. Perfect summer reading on the beach.
This is the first book I've read by this author. I'll definately read more.
The story of a sigle mom who believes her adopted son is a child that was kidnapped from his family. This is the first book I have read from this author and looking forward to reading some of her other work. The story kept me asking myself, "what would I do if I was in this situation". A few surprising twists in the plot; a book I definitely recommend.
Incredibly amazing read! I literally couldn't put this book down, and read it in about 9 hours (hubby took care of kids, and I holed myself up in a room)! This was my first Lisa Scottoline book and I'm definitely a fan after this first one! It was riveting, fast-paced, very interesting, really made you feel what the characters were going through, tear-jerker at some points, and the ending was not anything I would have ever expected!
Good book !!! Makes you think about what would you do if in the same situation????
This book kept me interested from start to finish. I read it within a few days, couldn't put it down. At first I thought it would be another predictable book, but I was wrong. Never saw the ending coming. This is the first book I have read by her and it won't be the last.
This is one of her best books ever (and I have read nearly all of them)! I absolutely loved it from start to finish! Lisa Scottoline never disappoints and this is also the case with "Look Again." I highly recommend it!
I found this book to be too predictable. The snipet on the back of the book is basicaly a spoiler
Suspenseful. Lots of twists & heartwrenching.
I could not put this book down, once I started it. I was hooked on the story line and the main character, she did what had to be done not what she wanted to do. The ending will blow you away. Great Book do not miss reading this one
I'm in the process of reading this right now (just got mailed to me last night) but love it...and if I didn't have to work I would probably find myself not putting this book down! It should be on everyone's 'must read this summer' list.
I really enjoy the book. It a good read. I recommend it for everyone esp for those who have a kids.
Oh my goodness, Lisa Scottoline, captured me after the first page!! I love how she writes about the "tough stuff" going on in the world today. This one deals with adoption, and being an adoptive mom myself, that was what drew me to the book initially. I quickly came to love the main characters and got choked up in places where the plot became intense. This was a book I could not put down!
Actually, I realized I had read this before. I read again. Must be pretty good huh?
Captivating from the start. Loved turning every page.
EXCELLENT BOOK ! Hard to put it down until you find out what happened at the end! Love her books!
Good story, but pretty predictable. The main idea was a very real part of the story. The romantic part was rather weak. It seemed to be just thrown in. It was worth reading.
This book kept your interest all the way to the last pages. It was a believable story.
Seeing her adopted baby's picture on a missing child flyer, she hopes it is only a coincidence but has to know the truth.
It leads to danger as she wants to know who is the real birth parents.

The book's very short chapters make for an easy/quick read. I thought the premise of the novel was intriguing and was immediately sucked in to the drama.
I rarely read books from cover to cover in one sitting but did so with this one.

Excellent read in true "Scottoline style". Kept me on the edge of my seat and up too late during the week. Need to start reading these on the weekends!
Even though the ending was very predictable, I enjoy the book. The author was a good storyteller and kept you interested throughout.
So far this is the BEST book of Lisa Scottoline's that I have read.........so far! I have read a few and this one just is way up there in my humble opinion. It really draws the reader in.....you go thru such highs and lows of emotions along with this mother......it makes you do a whole lot of soul searching as to what YOU would do if ever placed in her situation. I absolutely loved the book! If you have never read any of Lisa Scottoline's books yet start out with this one and I bet you will be hooked! 5+ stars
Great! I couldn't put it down, even better than her other books.
I liked this book a lot.Its every parents worst nightmare. The book was a little slow in the beginning but halfway through it really picked up.I couldnt put the book down I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next. A fast read. You will find yourself cheering for the main character. It is also a love story.A must read if your a parent or not.I agree with the critics it is one of her best books.Would read others by this author.
Absolutely loved this book. This is the type of book that you don't want to put down. I liked it so much, that I just ordered 3 more Lisa Scottoline books. Put this one on your list of must reads.
Gets right to the meat of the story on the first page. I like that. You know what the books about-and I hate when the characters don't know what's coming, but you do!! Several twists and turns, especially toward the end. It kept me hooked and reading all the way through.
This is the first book I have read by Lisa Scottoline and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more of her work.
Very fast paced and I couldn't put it down! Tears at your heartstrings (especially as a mother.) I did figure out one of the plot twists, but was surprised at the other one. Very enjoyable book. Being from the SJ/Philly area, I enjoyed reading a book that takes place in Philly and by an author who works in Philly.

Excellent---first book I read by this author---I have ordered another because I enjoyed it so much.....I would highly recommend this book.
Wonderful book! I had many late nights with this book! I'm not adopted or the parent of adopted children, but this book really held my attention. I've never read a book by Lisa Scottoline, but she really put her heart in this one. As a mother I found myself in tears many times.
This was a great book - moved very fast. I could hardly put the book down.
Kept me reading! Good book, tugs at the heartstrings.
Actually, my roommate grabbed this when it arrived from the sender. She reads more slowly than I do and she finished it last night. According to her, this book was great! She said it is definitely a 5-star read!
Could not put it down. I now want to read more books by this author.

A+....my heart was breaking for her. What a terrible thing to go through!
Plot and characters are well written.
This is a good fast moving story with great twists and turns along the way.
I loved this book! Read it in the airport and had to finish it when I got home. Riveting
and a twist ending. So unlike other Scottoline books.

Wow - after reading all of the other posted reviews, I'm going to sound like "Debbie Downer" but I thought this book was terrible. The only reason I kept reading it was because I didn't have any other books on my nightstand. S-L-O-W and predictable, only picking up at the end. Although an intriguing idea for a story, I found some of the plot lines unrealistic. This was not my first book by this author- maybe the third. Won't be picking up another one.
Interesting premise. Makes you wonder if you would do the same thing.
I really, really liked this book! I was immediately drawn in at the very beginning and couldn't put it down. The storyline was great and the plot suspenseful. I would definitely recommend this book.
Very good book keeps you guessing until the end
WOW - what a great book! A page turner and easy read. I couldn't put it down. Wjat a terrible situation to be in.
Look Again OR Look the Other Way?
That nagging suspicion that what happened in the past is not what it seemed to be and now the Truth can turn your world upside down. Ellen has a dilemma: Search for the Truth even if it cost you the most precious relationship you got, your adopted child, or look the other way. Of course she wouldn't make much of a protagonist if she didn't risk everything to know the Truth! I enjoyed the story and Mary Stuart Masterson's narration was excellent. Morphing her voice to do the different characters and accents.

I liked the unique plot of an adoptive mother seeing the photo of a missing child who looks exactly like the son she adopted, and seeking to find out if he's the same. But it all wrapped up with contrived, overblown theatrics that ruined the whole story for me. Disappointed, but generous C+ for originality of premise and an engaging first half.
Another one of Ms. Scottoline's page
turning books. As usual this book is
one you don't want to put down. The
characters are well developed and the
ending is dramatic.

This was an excellent book from Lisa Scottoline! A heartbreaking decision for any parent to contemplate....keep a child that is not your biological child or give him back! A good story with some interesting twists turns, etc...
Very good book! It was hard to put down and I read it in two days...Wonderful storyline that keeps you guessing throughout the book with a surprising twist at the end of the book...I definatly recommend this book..
Excellant story.....highly recommended.
What would you do if you had adopted a little boy and then.................. you see his face on a milk carton, saying he had been abducted shortly after birth? Would you do the right thing? Whas WAS the right thing? And there lies the plot.
Excellent, excellent book! Things were happening left and right. It really holds your interest! Kept me on the edge of my seat! I want to read more!!!
This book mantained my attention for its interesting plot and unexpected twists. I liked the topic about an adopted child and how it deals with profound themes without getting in the way of the plot.
kind of hum drum story, the first 150 pages are so slooooooooooow and you can just skip a lot of the pages or just skim them to get to the main part of the story---hum drum
This was a real page turner. Just had to keep going couldn't put it down. Twists and turns like an amusement park ride.
