Chloe Peterson is running scared from her past when her car breaks down and she is rescued by the handsome Chase Sullivan. He is used to beautiful women, since he photographs them regularly, but there is something about Chloe that grabs him from the start. He finds her lovely.
Chloe is hesitant to label the feelings she has for Chase, but she cant deny they are there. She ends up sticking around to help him with his photo shoot and the attraction between them grows with every moment.
There is a lot of sex in this book and while I am a fan of sex in all its forms, I found it to be excessive in this story. Chase has some stamina and the scenes were deliciously written, I just would have liked them to know each other a little more out of the sheets, too. Another reason for the lower rating was the dialogue. Some of it was downright hokey.
Despite those minor flaws, I liked this book. It was cute and the Sullivan clan intrigues me. I am really interested in reading about Marcus whose story comes next. It is not the most imaginative or surprising romantic read, but it served its purpose as a pleasurable enough tale and I liked it enough to want to read more.

Oh my. What a man. What a family.
I had just finished another book this morning that I had to fight to finish. I had this one on a wish list and had gotten chosen to review it. Boy am I glad I had it. I started it and finished it in less than three hours. The interaction with the characters was great. The emotions and sex was wonderfully handled. I enjoyed it very much.
Chase was so patient with Chloe and Chloe didn't let her past ruin her future. I felt so bad for Jeremy bless his heart.
I can't wait to read the rest of the Sullivan family's stories. Marcus, what's in store for you?

This is a sweet, sexy, lovely book. It is the first of 8 books about the Sullivan family. Chase Sullivan is a photographer. He received his first camera from his father at age 10. He became a professional about a decade later. Chloe is a battered woman. This is definitely a love story! A fast and compelling read. I can't wait to get Book 2.

This is my first Andre book. I loved the characters but I wished the author spent less times on sex scenes. I am not a prude by any means but they weren't that exciting. Chase also had a very limited vocabulary when it comes to Chloe. I think "lovely" was used about a million times. I actually would have liked it if Chloe's ex played a bigger role here. Her problems cleaned up rather too easily with him.
Andre sets up this series about a big family yet she doesn't include a lot of big family interaction that makes these books interesting. But it's a really easy read and it's intriguing enough that I would check out the second book. I don't think it's worth real money or credits though.
