I have to admit I had my doubts on liking this one when I read the back cover of this book. However, Angela Hunt is a great author and I couldn't resist giving it a try. The story is told from several view points and flows easily between the characters. Unexpected twists in the story add to an overall wonderful book. I'm anxious to read the next one in the series!

I just discovered Angela Hunt as a writer and I love her writing. I like the fact that this book is different from others I've been reading. It's about a women who is recently divorced and who's uncle dies and leaves her a funeral home. It's a fast read and sometimes funny. She lived in VA and had to move to FL. She takes along her opinionated Red Hat mother, along with her two boys. She wants to sell the place but finds a home in Mt. Dora where she never thought she'd stay. The thought of dead people in her home kind of freaks her out, but she gets a change of heart. This is book 1 of 3 of the Fairlawn Series.

Recently divorced Jennifer needs a job and a place to live. She has 2 sons to support and is living with her mother. A great-uncle leaves her a mortuary in a small Florida town, and Jennifer takes her family to visit and decide what to do with the place.
I thought this was a good book, even though the funeral home aspect was a bit creepy. The book had funny and sad parts, and was an interesting story. Looking forward to reading book #2.
