I lived in the Alaska Bush for 4 months, and I found Mr. Jenkins' writing about the people he met while living there for 18 months to be accurate. He writes about adventures, but this book primarily gives you a glimpse at how people/Natives live and what brought transplants to America's Last Frontier.

Good story. Give you a good sense of what its like to live in Alaska. A tough place to live. Everything is a battle, but the overwhelming beauty of the place mesmerizes those there.
