Thanks to Karen J. (rhyta) who directed me to this forum so I can crosspost my predicament. Are there any other audiobook sites that I can check into besides Audible and Scribd?I have listened to the first 8 books in Yasmine Galenorn's Otherworld series using Overdrive from my local library and Philadelphia Free Library. The problem is that neither library has the audiobook in this particular series after Book #8!I have no problem getting the paperback or ebook from the library but I want to listen to the audiobooks. Neither PBS nor Scribd has all the audiobooks and I just don't want to pay almost $16 a month to Audible to listen to one audiobook per month. The 17th book in the series was just released, with more to come, and that will get to be expensive. I'll read the paperbacks if I have to but there must be someplace else I can subscribe at a cheaper rate, isn't there? I don't want to buy the darn things just listen to them!Melanie D. (melanied) pointed me to Book 9 which is here on PBS so I may get that but it will still leave me in a quandry regarding the other books. Any advice or should I just cough up the bucks to Audible? |
