We have a 4 yr old who will be going to Kindergarten in the fall and I am looking for ideas on books that are easy for him to learn to read.  We bought one of the Penguin Young Readers books called "On the Farm" today and he has learned how to read it and can read the whole thing without any help.  Needless to say, he was proud of himself.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Theresa

Good for him! The Bob books ae simple books to read.  Begin reading to him outloud books that ae slightly above his reading level but interest him..you'll be amazed at how his reading improves b/c he wants to read at those higher levels for himself. It's a fun journey to take with your little one!

Are Bob books a type of book like Step into Reading/Penguin books or are they about a character named Bob?
