I am a hobbyist writer(not looking for publication, writing for my own enjoyment) who has trouble staying focused. I have found in the past that having someone to talk to on a regular basis(three to four times a week) helps keep me writing. I have two WIP's, one a recent idea(Lollipop Girl), and the other(The Colony Chronicles) something that has been fermenting in my mind for over 30 years. Both are fantasy. LG is urban and TCC is hard to categorize, but it is portal fantasy with heavy romance elements. Both have women as the main characters, although TCC is multi pov and will have men MC's too. What I am looking for is someone who will listen to my overall plot line, then as I write, read and make suggestions and ask questions, point out plot holes, etc. This will be a lengthy process, and I need someone who can commit to a long term project. To start, I prefer email, then ,as we get into the project, we can use IM. Doesn't matter which one. I am not looking for a co-writer, but if by some miracle either of these projects ever end up finished and you have stuck with me through the process, I will give you due recognition. My plan is to put them on a webpage as a serial, or perhaps an e-book. TCC starts with four women who go through a portal to another world and end up embroiled in a power struggle between several factions to rule Tellus, a planet that is a twin of Earth in an alternate universe. It is ultimately about the fall and rise of Dragons. Lots of shape shifters, swords and magic mixed with technology. There will be sex and violence, and there will be same sex relationships. It is a sprawling epic saga, spanning generations. LG is about two young women who escape a school for assassins and turn into vigilantes of a sort. Fiona is what I imagine an offspring of Sherlock Holmes and Cat Woman would be like. A narcissistic sociopath who has discovered she is good at killing. Lydia is her younger cohort, a geek girl with no social skills. Lydia becomes Fiona's conscious as they clean up the crime ridden city of Blackthorne. I started this as my NaNo project, but haven't gotten far. Of the two, TCC is my main project and the one I really want to put my time and effort into. But I can multi task, and even think it might help me to be productive to switch between the two. If either or both stories appeal to you ,and are serious about committing to a long term project please PM me for my email address and we can talk details before you decide. Men and women are both welcome, but remember there will be romance. Cross posting this in the Writers Forum also.
