This book features Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christie's famous "Belgian, not French" detective. This book is a great read and the ending is one that will definately surprise you.
I was disappointed by this Poirot novel at first; both Hastings and Japp are back in full force, still thinking Poirot has gotten senile at last. But even though the second time through I remembered the culprit from the start, the mechanics of the crime are quite ingenious, and the letter from the killer that closes the novel had me chuckling. All in all, a strong outing for Poirot.
