A very different story of a lady disquising herself as a man and getting away with it. Funny and outrageous. I enjoyed every page.

England, Early 1800s. I liked this book, but I did find it quite unusual. The hero and heroine didn't even meet until WELL into the book. I do agree that the background was necessary, but I still felt that I was missing something until things started coming together. Lord Harry (Hetty) is so many different personalities, but her true character does come through brilliantly.
The reader obviously knows Jason is innocent of Hetty's brother's death, but it seems that the path for her to acknowledge this was quite more than necessary. It makes you want to scream at her, but brings about quite interesting situations that make the book fun to read.
I would recommend this as a quick read to pass the time.

Oh Lord Harry really does get into quite a bit of trouble playing the part of a man while he/she is truly a women.. Interesting mishaps in this entertaining love story. The heart, honor and bravery of the women Henrietta shows to be all the equal to the men she befriends and lives amongst.

This book started off in a really confusing manner. I pushed through and was pleased, sort of, by the rest of the book. I was a bit disappointed with the ending. It just didn't flow or seem like it had solved the problem at hand. Also, I had a really hard time believing how fast Hetty/Harry went from hating Jason to being madly and passionately in love with him. He also realized his love for her after she tried to kill him...utterly believable, right? I typically like Coulter's books, but the last few that I have read have disappointed me....perhaps because they are rewrites of her first works.

Like all her books this is very good story. This is a rewrite and added too of her Lord Harry's Folly. One of her early books.
