This was a great book. Easy read and the subject was very interesting. I would recommend this book.

A good story with complex, if not always likable, characters. but at times a bit slow. I found myself having taking much longer to to finish than I normally take for a book.

Growing up during the Vietnam war, it is part of our history that I find of great interest. This book is shown through the eyes of photographers, what would cause a person to choose to go to war? The author has done thorough research, insights into the Vietnamese people and the mindset of the photographers is believable. This is a book which will stay with me.

Intense up to the very end. I would have liked more at the finish, but maybe that is just me. Having grown up 'with' the Viet Nam war, I found this very interesting none the less.

The first couple of chapters I was wondering if I was going to like this book as it seemed a little blah..but as I continued on I really loved the book, the plot, the characters, the setting, the beautiful writing, you name it. A beautifully written book (except maybe the very beginning). At one point I couldn't put it down anymore and had to read it straight through to the end. Once it gets going it holds together very well and you get lost in it..in a good way.

Fantastic book about the Vietnam War, about a female photo journalist, her life, her loves, her courage. Truly one of the best books I have ever read. Elegantly written, poetic, with lush descriptions. Haunting.
